MYCAB customers always come first.

Back in September we announced the opening of our new Customer Support Centre in Barcelona. And it’s been a busy period since then as the team has quickly established itself, taking on global support previously handled by several local offices.

And what a great job they’ve done. We’ve had a significant growth in the number of customers, bookings and airports and cities served and the team has delivered an outstanding service with fantastic feedback.

The team handle a wide range of enquiries and support for business travel agents and consultants as well as organisations and individual travellers around the world.

Leading our dedicated TMC (Travel Management Company) support is Emelie Reinman. We spoke to Emelie to find out a little more about what she does and her experiences so far.

Hej Emelie! When and why did you join MYCAB?

I joined MYCAB last year just before we opened the new office in Barcelona. I came to Barcelona from Sweden about three years ago. I joined MYCAB because it seemed to be an exciting opportunity to help shape the team and service, and be part of a growing company and fun place to work!

So what do you do?

I am team leader for the TMC support team. I’m a primary contact for Travel Consultants that want a quote, to make changes to a booking, or if they have any questions really! I’m also the lead for following up on deviations and any complaints. Luckily we don’t have too many, but if we do we have a detailed audit trail of every step in our fulfilment process so I can provide Consultants with clear and prompt response.

As part of my role I also work to constantly develop and improve our support, techniques, systems and processes. We’re lucky to have such great customers that give lots of good feedback, inspiration and ideas. For example we changed our hours to match our TMC customer hours, or updates to our booking confirmation that improved passenger support.

What is best about your job?  

It’s easy to have a good day in the Barcelona office. Partly because I’m not afraid to call my coworkers my friends! I also really enjoy helping solve problems with people from different countries all day.

The most satisfaction comes when we’re faced with a problem such as several transfers for a group of VIPs in an unusual country, at short notice. When we provide the solution and I hear the relief in the customer’s voice, it is really great.

I love to travel and experience different cultures, and this role – partly because it’s in Barcelona, partly because of working with people also from different countries and cultures, really helps me do this. Outside of work in my free time I indulge my fascination with history, visiting Roman ruins, old castles and museums. I like to escape and recharge, and come back ready to go again!

Tom Rich joins MYCAB board

We are delighted to welcome Tom Rich to the MYCAB International S.A. board in a non-executive strategic advisory capacity. He brings with him more than 20 years of experience in human capital management, workforce and workspace technology.

Tom is based in the world renowned innovation hub of ‘Silicone Slopes’, Utah. He has extensive experience building startups as co-founder of three successful businesses, helping to design, build and lead significant sales and revenue growth. Tom will draw upon his former leadership roles to help MYCAB’s International expansion and specifically so in the US.

Tom is currently CRO and co-founder of Findd Inc., a disruptive facial recognition and labor time management software business.

London Keeps On Growing

As the number of MYCAB customers and our business grows, so does our team and work space. This month we have moved into a brand new larger office in London and welcomed a number of new joiners too.  And the view (pictured above) isn’t too bad either!

 

While remaining in Portland House in Victoria, London our new office now houses both MYCAB’s international sales and marketing alongside MYCAB UK. The new space comes weeks after MYCAB also opened its new Customer Care Centre in Barcelona – situated in the heart of the city with a multi-lingual team providing phone, email and chat support to travellers and bookers, including professional travel agents and consultants.

As MYCAB grows our focus remains on delivering world-class ground transfer services for business travellers and their organisations, delivered and enabled through seamless integration with corporate managed travel partners. Flight Centre Partnership Launches

Flight Centre boosts ground transport offering for Corporate clients with MYCAB and Amadeus.

 

MYCAB is delighted to announce the launch of a new EMEA wide transfers offering and partnership with Flight Centre Travel Group and Amadeus. Starting in the UK with FCM Travel and Corporate Traveller – consultants are able to seamlessly book ground transfers via Amadeus. Traveller details and dates are automatically extracted from an existing flight booking and search fields are pre-populated in the Amadeus booking tool. The booking is fully integrated into the PNR, which allows for simplified trip servicing and easy access to a transfer booking when needed.

The integrated MYCAB and Amadeus’ solution is also fully enabled with FCM and Corporate Traveller’s powerful new SEEQA online booking tool. This means that for the first time travellers and bookers can arrange point-to-point transfers and chauffeur services at over 300 airports and cities in 75 countries using an online booking tool. Launched earlier this year, SEEQA is a bespoke solution built on of the Amadeus cytric Travel & Expense tool that allows Flight Centre Travel Group to add proprietary functionality and content.

The MYCAB offering includes real-time flight tracking and adjustment of pick-up times based on flight arrival times. All vehicles are properly licensed, registered and insured and travellers are greeted personally by smartly dressed chauffeurs on arrival. Driver and passenger can make contact via SMS prior to pick up and in transit to ensure a seamless traveller experience and support employers’ duty of care obligations. Additional dedicated phone and email support is also available to passengers and bookers.

MYCAB and Amadeus Partnership

MYCAB has been appointed a preferred partner for Amadeus new Transfers offering.

Amadeus, one of the world’s leading GDS in the travel market has this week launched ‘Amadeus Transfer’ a service paltform that provides pre-booked managed ground transportation services.

This will be an extension to its core services offered to both Corporate and leisure customers and takes advantage of a ground transportation market which represents 10% of all travel expenses worldwide, which amounts to circa 130 billion Euro’s.

This is the first time Amadeus has launched such a service and will make it available to its worldwide network of agents across the travel industry including; TMC’s, TA’s, OTA’s and beyond. The services will be made available in a phased approach across countries during the remainder of 2017 and throughout 2018.

The Amadeus Transfer Hub will cover more than 1000 destinations in 142 markets and relies on ground transfer partners like MYCAB Travel for delivery of the service, yet underpinned by quality standards and value for money.

The advantage of the Amadeus Transfer Hub is its automatic integration with the rest of the customers travel itinerary, meaning travel agents can deliver a superior service while earning extra commissions from providers who are eager to partner with them.
